About Rosalie
Rosalie Fink is a Professor of Literacy at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she has taught students and trained teachers for over 25 years. She earned her Doctor of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has taught children and adults, ages 3-55. Since the mid-1980s, Rosalie has been researching and writing about how some students who struggle with reading eventually succeed, ---becoming superb readers and successful professionals in fields such as medicine, law, the arts and sciences, and she is a nationally recognized expert on this subject. Rosalie emphasizes captivating methods and materials that inspire and enable all types of students to succeed. She speaks nationally and internationally about The Interest-Based Model of Reading that she developed. Rosalie is the author of two books that were chosen as Book Club selections by The International Reading Association. She has written many articles for parents and teachers. Her books are for educators, parents, and everyone concerned about raising children to become skilled readers in today’s multimedia society.
